JEREMY LEGAT

In 2011 Jeremy spent three months at sea on Cunard's Queen Mary 2 as a member of a RADA company
performing Hamlet and The Canterbury Tales.

Each year RADA rehearses three companies of actors to go aboard Cunard's cruise liner - the QM2 - as part of its entertainment
programme. This partnership is now in its ninth year.

Each company is employed for between 12 and 14 weeks - the first 4 weeks are spent in rehearsals followed by 8 - 10 weeks
performing aboard the ship. Each of the three companies perform one Shakespeare play and one other play. In 2011 the
productions were Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet and two versions of the Canterbury Tales - all plays are abridged to an hour each.

RADA performs in QM2's Royal Court Theatre. It has 1,100 seats and is a real stretch for the actors in terms of size
and projection. Running parallel to these productions is a greatly expanded programme which the actors run:

Jazz poetry with the resident jazz trio

Passion and Poetry accompanied by one of the resident pianists

Late night ghost stories

Bedtime stories

Street theatre throughout the ship

Three one-hour workshops with passengers
